"Fog City - San Francisco Skyline"
Location: Fort Baker, San Francisco, California.

The magic hour at dusk is a great time to shoot the skyline of the city. I liked the golden lights that had just switched on and were illuminating the fog layer above the city. The fog can be quite dramatic during summer months and can be seen rolling into the bay at evening. This is a very high resolution image where one can see individual windows in the buildings and can also read the text on the Fort Mason building.

Tech Info:
Lens: Canon EF 70-200 f/4L IS @135mm
Camera: Canon 5D Mk II
Exposure: 30sec at f/9 and ISO 100
Filters: SinghRay 2 stop hard edge ND grad

The waterfront area at Fort Baker is a great place to shoot not just the skyline but also the Golden Gate bridge. I had originally planned on shooting the bridge which is just to the right but light was better looking towards the skyline. And if you are in mood for crab you can also catch some here.
